Hey all... I just wanted to post this up as I've gotten a couple of pm's about this, so I thought I'd put it up on the public board where hopefully folks will find this.

If you've just joined the forum, you will find that you cannot edit your profile, or signature.

This is a pro-active measure against a particularly pesky type of spammer, and one that is necessary in order to prevent them.

Without going into all of that detail, this is what you need to know:

You need to make 2 posts on the forum before you will be bumped to a usergroup that will allow you the full permissions of all the other members. Once you make a couple of posts on the forum, the software will bump you to a new usergroup. I believe this check is run every hour or so, so it will not be instantaneous... It may be a few hours or the next day before you get promoted and gain edit permissions of your profile and/or signature.

So, if you are trying to edit your profile and are like WTF?... If you are reading this, feel free to make a couple posts in here and some time after, you will find you have the permissions you were looking for.

It is a pleasure to finally (?) see you posting over here but it will even be more interesting to follow up the discussions you'll very likely be starting up from your own antispam filters. There's something wrong with the spelling tool of your system though (you should test google translator, it looks like as much efficient as Babel Fish I guess :-) It should not be Panavision made for sure ;-)

I'd be able to bet these boards will certainly become funnier from now on, but on that I let it to Tom anyway, I am sure you'll be ready to charge it anyhow! LOL

I would recommend by the way for those using the 300mm prime from RED double the 15mm rod attachmemts and then put lens support in middle so that the first part is fixed to the baseplate or quick-release platform and the last 15mm serves as a post for the end, much more stability and less chances of your beauty going back in for repair due to stress from the lens to the body.
