This is really just a test of spoting this frame size... seems better than YouTube. :-)

And a great way of testing if you got the rolling shutter issues fixed - congrats ;-)

Spieden is the name of the island this footage was filmed on. It's a privately owned island and guess who owns it... :-)

Jim,
Hope this doesn't sound crazy but are you hand holding that or his the slight movement due to the wind from the propeller? The footage is great I just wanted to know.
Thanks

I shoot a lot in a tripod with all axis loose... kinda in between lockdown and handheld effect.

Jim, have you tried a gimbal head yet, like what bird shooters use for their DSLR to track a bird in flight? Doing that on a motion image might yeild some cool shots with the 300mm?

I have an old tripod/head that is similar, invented by Carly Akeley (he built the 35mm camera too) to shoot wildlife in 1914-1915. The head is a gyro, its designed to be used with one hand and long lenses. Quite revolutionary for its time when most cameras were wood boxes.
The first image is of a friends camera, the second is mine. I dont have any photos of my camera on the gyro head.
Akeley's story is very similar to the one unfolding here...Jim are you related to Carl? :)
