Stuart English is here with a RED "Helsinki", Steve's #8 and James Mathers is here - 3 RED's at Jackson Hole at the same time - WOW!

more teasers will be posted... as the week progresses.

pic info - raw -> slight saturation and exposure tweak in PS from a frame grab - The RAW previews look awesome(with out any grading)... more later.

Hi,

The scenery looks nice, but I'm completely baffled as to why you'd shoot in 4K and then post a still that's only 256 pixels tall.

Can we get some footage that will do the camera (and the shoot) justice?

Thanks.

MammothHD is a stock company. I'm sure they don't want to give away the full-res files that they will be selling on their site. Still something a little bigger would be nice... but I can use my imagination for now. Great location for sure.

Gotta agree with the bigger stills request- one frame grab is not giving it away for a stock footage company. We should make it board policy that stills gotta be at least 1K. Even a DV camera would look pretty good at this frame size.

Plaster a 4K image with your logo.
That should get the message across.

But don't they sell moving footage?

2k frame grab is not 'giving away' a 4k video deliverable. Neither is a .5k frame grab an acceptable sample of a 4k video deliverable. I'm with NoahK, less than 1k is a terrible tease.

A bump for larger files (stills or video) from these gorgeous nature shots!
Please oh please :-)

this sort of teases are simply ridiculous.. to me it would be better do not post, do not tease, please?

Is this an avatars thread contest? Lol

Yeah… too small hurts more than it helps, especially when it looks so good.

Man if I had a dollar for everytime I had to say that in a dimly lit room...:clown2:

But, really this is worse than a tease... I don't think we are going to get a nice payoff... Too bad we all could not make the festival.

BTW, Gordon... I like my avatar the best... lol

That is one thing I hate about stock footage. The shot looks great
on a thumb - you buy it and it looks out-of-focus in HD.
I was doing a show and a client bought a ton from istockvideo.com
most of it was blurry, grainy and not worth a crap. The client said
at least it was cheap! LOL....

I honestly feel that 720p is the smallest size we should be seeing anything "demoed" from this camera, be it stills or motion. It is not uncommon to find native 12MP images as examples all throughout the more popular dSLR community forums; why are we shooting 4K and displaying it the size of a postage stamp?

I understand that 4K motion picture footage is large, but I would rather have 15 seconds of some 1080 material to play with than a minute of sub-DV sized clips. As for stills, even a mediocre computer can handle a 4K TIFF file. Please, start posting some nicer footage camera owners. I will pledge to do the same once my camera finally arrives.

I honestly think that unless you're paying for the shoot, you should be happy with anything you get up to and including zip.

Sheesh!

How about a watermark? Some people have started doing that on their footage (e.g. OffHollywood) That should be sufficient for worries of footage theft.

I guess size matters on this site. :)

That's what happens when you make a camera that's making bigger images than all of the other guys. :-)

LOL....

as the post headline - "Teaser", we are in Jackson Hole,WY in the the midst of a major film festival, meetings, sale pitches, client meetings, testing gear and other things and your think that on a barely above dialup connection that is being hammered by all the JHWFF attendess - that we'd bother to doing else? (I'm posting these after 18 hour days)

jeez.....

btw: check out the 2K/b4 configurations that Steve and I did..... (and YES - teaser picks only)

Hey Clark, we are just ball busting, but we deserved that.:)

We do appreciate your efforts. Also, did you know that you have posted the first Gibby pics where he is not behind a camera? Thanks again for the B4 config shots (another first)... Was that Fujinon a HA16X6.3BERM? Just curious.
What did you guys think? (I will go check the other thread now)

Cheers--- Andrew
