Clipfinder is brilliant, but needs an update soon! Hans, are you out there?

Just tried using it for the Project Documentation of a camera build 30.6.12 4.5K WS resolution shoot, and the thumbnails are all distorted and unuseable.
Would also love to have support for the new metadata available - eg varispeed settings

I've been using RCX, where you don't need clipfinder at all. Edit with ProRes, create an EDL/XML, open it in RCX and it relinks to the R3Ds. Grade and output, back to FCP, beautiful!

Then again, you may have completely different requirements...

I'm afraid Hans lost interest because of RCX and Storm. Quite understandable!

I still find ClipFinder to be useful. If you have speed changes, you can have trouble with Color and RCX. CF is still a useful Swiss Army Knife..

i like to replace prores files with proxies...
upcoming fcp x will show what is still needed to have a painless worklfow if you have a tight budget :)

My latest beta is dated April 10, 2011 and I think Hans is working to a new version. Also RCX is a really good program but Clipfinder is really flexible for several different workflows.

Hans gave me the beta. I am an alpha tester. I'm sure when the public beta will be ready you could download it from Hamingja website. By the way it handles build 30 very well.
