This is a work of madness and/or genius! :w00t:

it's a guy playing the piano. Playing well, true, but im not sure where the madness/genius comes in. Am I missing something?

edit: Not to be a buzzkill, he is good, if thats what you mean.

Uh, Brandon, he took an enormously complex orchestral piece and found a way to make it completely work as a solo piano piece. It's brilliant!

Clint Mansell is one of my childhood heroes - Pop Will Eat Itself anyone??!

I actually watched Pi when it came out largely on the strength of it having a Clint Mansell soundtrack (I think it was his first) - and happened to find an amazing director into the bargain.

It's good to see Clint doing well in Hollywood - PWEI were one of the most influential bands from the UK in their era, even if (and maybe to some extent because) they never broke into the mainstream seriously - and he is a top musician in his own right.

Great clip Tom, thanks for the link!

Oh, btw, is it just me or did anyone else feel pretty underwhelmed by The Fountain, especially after Pi and Requiem?

I listen to that soundtrack when I'm writing my screenplay. It is simply brilliant.
