Not trying to edge in on Evin's territory, I just thought I'd post my own test image. I recently bought a Nikkor AI 50mm f1.4 MF lens. Now I'm a Canon guy, so I ordered an adapter to put it on my Canon 20d and did some tests. It's actually good practice, since it's a similar setup to Red.

So here's the result. The iris was at f5.6, camera was at ISO400 and 1/60 shutter. Dang, I love this lense!

Dude, I love Nadurra!, although I prefer the Port wood finish Glenmorangie.
I have some Talisker and in hand as I type this.

:p Here's to being RED in the face. Cheers!

Wonderful subject matter. Wonder if you're able to do a comparison with the Nikon and Canon f1.4 50mm. I think that the Canon 50mm stays on my camera more than any other lens I have as it's just so beautiful.

I second that Graeme, it's my fave Canon lens

The Canon 50mm 1.4 is every bit as good as the Nikkor, it may even be a little sharper wide open, although I've always liked the Bokeh of the Nikkor better, at f2 I'd be surprised if you could tell them apart except for color rendition. Canon has more pastel palette, Nikon a bit more primary biased.
This is very subtle diffence that makes no issues when shooting RAW.

Just shot a short with a couple friends using my DVX100A, Redrock adapter and the Nikkor 50mm 1.4. We were all really impressed with the images we were getting from that lens. I thought it was beautiful.
