Last month following the last REDucation class (#5), I was asked to teach a RED class in Dublin Ireland, and I accepted. While not REDucation, I taught a group of film and television professionals how to shot RED right. The program was 3 days and sponsored by FAS, Ireland's government and training authority. I had a class of 12 (out of 45 applicants), 5 RED's (2 MX's), and a host of gear to help make the class informative and exciting. There was a fourth day where I spoke on a panel (at the Guinness Brewery) of post production pro's from around Europe. The panel included a DIT (me), a color management specialist, representatives from Adobe, Apple (FCP), Avid and DigitalVision.
RED is spreading, and there are people around the world, that want to know more, need to know more, and I was happy to spread good information.
