I want to clone the internal drive on my MBP to a hybrid SSD, like this one http://www.jigsaw24.com/product-details/x701axa/seagate-momentus-xt-500gb-ssd-hybrid-internal-hard-drive and then put the internal drive in an enclosure which would be on standby in case the hybrid fails.

Anyone able to recommend a decent enclosure?

Can't locate a supplier fro OWC in the UK. Strange that. Rocstor are on Amazon at £67 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0039XVISS/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=AIFVML064BTG5). Hmm. At that price I could just as well buy a small G-Tech for £92 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/G-Technology-GDM4-500-EMEA-G-Drive/dp/B002RAXML0/ref=pd_sim_computers_4) and take out the drive for a spare...

You can still buy from OWC as an international customer, though I'm not sure how hard you'd get hit on customs. It's best to call them and ask.

Also, keep in mind that G-Tech only makes pre-built drives and you'll actually void the warranty disassembling one to swap drives. Some of their high-end RAID models have swappable drives, though they make you buy their own spare drive modules if you want to keep the warranty intact.

In your situation, it's best to just get a bare external enclosure.
