There are already Linux drivers. That's how DaVinci Resolve can use it, and it's also how Baselight will use it in an upcoming version.

thanks Mike, I should have checked first.

So are BM writing their own drivers or do they have access to a pre released version directly from RED? as you can't download Linux drivers from the RED site.

Nobody in their right mind would try to write their own drivers for a card that is sold by a very protective vendor. Red provides support directly to all SDK licensees for all supported platforms. They will sometimes handle special requests from individual vendors that might be project driven, as they did with at least one grading system vendor who required Mysterium X support for a prerelease camera on a particular pilot this past spring.
