Any recommendations on the best way to power the AJA Gen10 out in the field?

Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil.
Get the D-tap power connector from AJA. I power off of my AB battery plate.
take care!

Thanks for the responses but pardon me if I sound ignorant, since I'm still confused. The AB battery plate is not compatible with RED batteries, is it? Also, when I Google D-tap, I'm not seeing anything that looks like your photo, Johnny.

I do see you using the camera power for something, is that what you're talking about?

Thanks for your patience,
Phil

On the top of the red bat plates there is a little D-Tap connector that can power other things.... it looks kinda square, you have it.

Because of all the different power sourcing issues being in the field we actually had to make up some of our own AJA power cables. We find it easier to just have a bunch of options:

• AJA standard 110v
• AJA to 3-pin Fischer (to pull from a distribution block)
• AJA to 4-pin XLR (for use with a distribution block)
• AJA to 4-pin LEMO (to pull from RED's 12v acc power)
• AJA standard D-Tap (to pull from our battery charger plates)
