Just got my Rocket today, any helpful tips or suggestions, things to avoid would be greatly appreciated, read the instructions already. Getting ready to install it shortly.

I've got a similar setup Frazier. MXO2 LE in one of the slots and RR and esta in others. Be sure Rocket goes in slot 2 as there have been problems in other higher slots. My PCI config is attached here. If you are using HDSDI out, you'll have to get creative. I just cut holes in the back of my mac and mounted them out the back. There is a thread somwhere on this and I posted pics how i did mine. Others went out the front (second) dvd slot with the HDSDI's. I chose not to since i use both DVD's one blue ray the other just dvd.

good luck! that card will have you pumping away footage for days. Nice to come back after a shoot and one light everything in RCX; pump it out to prores and work it in the timeline and all in the same day you shot it....and have time to cook dinner.

Hey, I just got my Rocket in. Can you guys give me some tips on what type of equipment I need to get this running? I tried to hook it up to my 2nd dvi monitor but it's got no signal even though my Mac reads the updated rocket card. I'm not experienced with post-production hardware workflow.

PS what's the difference between hd-sdi and quad-dvi as far as viewing? Can I use both at the same time with different monitors through the rocket?
