Alameda rocks! Not sure if neon is natural though.

Encourages me for the minimal lighting I will be able to use for night scenes. MX really rocks!

Well Duh, that would mean I would have to read...
Thanks, didn't see it for some reason.
As extraordinary as it is, for some reason I always have this dillusion that in the US, there is a lot more light on the streets (sort of like NYC and Las Vegas) then here in Europe, which ultimately makes me wonder if the results will be as striking as in videos like this.

Well no, in Europe and Montreal there are uplit historic buildings which can light a lot - also in US many streets are very wide - so street lamps cannot bounce off walls.
that said unit always just looks like unlit - it will never match designed lighting for pop and beauty

I was just shooting in Copenhagen a few weeks ago and was thinking how great it would be to shoot night exteriors there with the light suspended over all the streets by cables. The lights are not mounted on poles, so they are in the middle of the streets and there is just this wonderful sodium vapor light from above ;-)
Funny how the grass is always greener.

Have been planning to do a night shoot here in Copenhagen to test out my MX and RPPs. Will do that soon :-)
