Obin, you guys do really good work. I bet your clients were very happy with this... The piece still has a very organic feel while still being razor crisp. I have to say the hard works shows in the subtlety of the movements and the minor changes in color. This will stand up well to repeated viewings.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I think this one paid off, it was a big challenge, we have never done anything like it before. Agency loves it. I think like you said it has a unique energy and organic feel. 2 months of work. 4 people.
If only we could have shot live action elements on RED we would have had far more control over some of the animation technique we used that is semi automated via photoshop, the kids are shot on greenscreen.
They say it's going to make AdWeek..how cool.

Thats a really nice treatment. Good ballance of colour and white space. Personally though the music track isn't to the quality of the picture.

Peter, did you listen on good speakers? maybe it's a taste thing, the guy that did the score is a pretty big composer.

Yeah, don't take my opinion for anything. This is about the picture and there's no doubt it looks really terrific!

Wow, I loved it. That was awesome!
We are using the HVX200 now as well for our work until the RED Ones arrive. We have two HVXs now, got some great footage for our last music video shoot and we were very pleased not only with the camera's quality but with the workflow involved, and of course we're very excited because we like the digital workflow, no tapes, no film, just shot onto cards (whether that's P2 or CF, I like that), and we were able to capture everything right on location, or rather "ingest," not capture, and then log the footage, look at it on location, etc. It was great, I could tell whether I was happy with the footage both from seeing the reference monitor and from seeing it on the laptop right after shooting. It was especially useful because we were hours from Los Angeles and if there were problems they needed to be fixed while we were on location.
I just love what you did with this animation, it's very pleasant to watch, it's neat.

LB: Yes, solid state workflow is the BOmB made ever so clear last shoot I used the varicam and I felt like I stepped back in time, re wind tape for shot playback? what a pain in the ass! fast forward tape to shot end so I don't record over what was shot - get out! oh and capture of footage?!?!? what a total and complete WASTE of time!!
Oh ya, bring on the tapeless workflow in FULL force!
best thing for me is shot review with a simple button push, I'm Lovin it.
