I just realized that the Red doesn't have a hot shoe. How do you guys recommend mounting a small light or boom microphone on the camera. I know the camera is targeted to cine-style shooting, but sometimes I have to work solo.

With the considerable number of tapped mounting holes on the body and accessories, I don't think you will have much trouble adapting a hot shoe to one of them.

May want to use the "100 mile an hour Duck Tape"... better for shooting high frame rates.

you should be able to screw in a manfrotto spigot into one of the many holes on the body and mount your light to that.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

My light has a 1/4"-20 screw for securing it to the hot shoe, so after looking at all the Red accessories, the easiest way to do it may be to remove the top handle and attach the light directly to the top mount. If I need a handle to carry the camera around, I can probably attach it to another top mount on the back side of the camera.
