Hi

Sitting here with a brand new Mac 2x 2.26 quad osx 10.6.4 16 GB RAM ATI 4870.

Terminal window tells me that the firmware is upgraded, but RC-X tells me the card has wrong firmware/driver.

I have updated both several times.

Ideas?

Redcine-X 340 says it needs driver 1.3.3
The support driver is 1.3.2...

Same here.
Even same ATI card.

Then I launch RocketCine1740:
Your RedRocket driver is out of date. You have 0.0.0.0, you need version 1.1.4.0.

The rocket installer from red.com says everythings fine...

Confusion.

RocketCine is EOL - you need to make the switch to REDCINE-X to get Rocket card support with the new Rocket drivers.

Gunleik - I think there might be a problem with the new website - I just upgraded to REDCINE-X v. 340 last week and also updated my Rocket drivers and I'm almost positive (would have to confirm this at my studio later today, to have absolute certainty) that the driver which I downloaded and installed (from the old website) was 1.3.3. - so to answer your question, the new website has included a mistake, I think, in the posted Rocket driver - it is a version behind and not up to speed with REDCINE-X 340.

You might want to send a direct email to RED, rather than posting here where it might be overlooked. I can confirm this afternoon, when I go into work, unless someone else is sitting in front of their recently updated Rocket card and can do it.

Thing is that the one on the support pages is 1.3.2, an 340 needs 1.3.3, which is somehow offline, but I had it hanging on a disk somewhere...

Likewise, I'm sure the Rocket system I set up last week was with 1.3.3 drivers. I was running RCX 340. I think the new website must be wrong. Not in the studio now, but I will be soon and I think I have the 1.3.3 installer there. PM me if you need it. I don't think posting a link publicly would be the done thing!

Thanks. I had it on an old computer, so the 1.3.3 did exist... -:) & Works here.

I can be pm'ed, too...

Now - setting up dreamcolor with aja hi5-3g...

It's at the very bottom. I'm sure the web team will fix that soon!

Thank you David! Downloading now.

Little typo: The Redcode Quicktime Code (Beta version) was released -according to the website - on 9-12-2012

Or maybe I´m clearvoiant...
