I'm considering purchasing the Arri LMB-5 clip on mattebox for use with the Red 18-50mm lens. It has a clamp on adapter for 114mm so I'm assuming this would work. Does anyone have any experience with this mattebox?
It has two 4x5.65 filter stages, but as far as I can tell, no rotating filter tray. If I have a need for a pola, I'm assuming I could just put a screw on 72mm one behind the mattebox.
I do a lot of handheld work, and after holding the camera for the first time the other day, I am going to try and keep my accessory package as light as possible. In the future I may upgrade to the Viewfactor or another Arri mattebox for larger productions. Thanks for any input.
