Hi,

I have one question, I am using the AJA HI5 SDi to HDMI converter to try and connect an LED SAMSUNG tv to the rocket, but I get an image with the colors changed, looks like negative....any ideas if this can be corrected, what should be the settings?

Thanks

Sounds like wrong YUV/RGB setup

Sounds like wrong YUV/RGB setup

hummm, so may be the LED SAMSUNG I got does not work, as I try all different combinations....outputting from the RedRocket

It only has 3 differente ones for RGB
RGB 8
RGB 10
RGB 12

the YUV does not give me any picture

and the RGB 12 gives me a "rainy" picture

the RGB 8 and 10 give me clear pictures, but like as if they were negative

any ideas?

The AJA HI5 only does single link HD-SDI I believe. It looks like you are connecting one half of a dual link signal. In single link mode the Rocket does not mirror the signal on the two outputs, so the second BNC output is unused. Try connecting the other BNC from the Rocket to the AJA HI5, and choosing eg YUV 10 bit 4:2:2.

The Hi5 I have does dual...

The model shown here (http://www.aja.com/products/converters/converters-hd-hi5.php) would appear only to have a single BNC input and a loop through, and the spec says it supports either 10 bit YCbCr 4:2:2 or 8 bit RGB 4:4:4, which you need to choose with an internal jumper.

The Hi5 3G (http://www.aja.com/products/converters/converters-hd-hi53g.php) supports dual link.
