Hi All,
Just tried to setup output of my RedRocket to HD-SDI to a HD-Link and then DVI to HDMI cable to a HDMi TV, outputting from Redcine-X
If I use a single BNC cable out of the RedRocket and into the HD-Link I get a green screen, if I use two cables and go into the HDLink (Dual Link) I get a Purple screen up on the monitor. I've tried using various different settings in RedCine-X but nothing appears to change.
Am I missing something simple or doing something wrong? Only had a few minutes to test at lunchtime.
Also is it possible to output on just one BNC cable or must it be dual out of the rocket?
Thanks
Paul

You can output with one cable just fine, and that would probably be the right way for this setup.
What it should be set up @ for your case, is a more confusing topic, but I'd tried 8-bit 422 YUV first. Then 8 bit rgb.

Pretty sure I tried most of the settings. As I said I didn't have much time to get into it in detail. Each time it appeared as described. When I get time I will try some more setups. Would you expect to see a green screen if it wasn't setup correctly or something else?
Thanks

It sends a greenish signal here when no clip is loaded.
If you have a "weird" image, it is probably either a single/dual channel setup issue or a YUV/RGB.
From what you describe, you want a single link 8 bit RGB or YUV signal.
It only sends on the main SDI when you go single-link...

It sends a green screen when the monitor button is not selected, as well.

Just did a quick test, seems I needed to toggle the monitor button between making changes and it came good. If I didn't it stayed green. Thanks.

I got purple out of my Rocket when I had the SDI cables reversed... going into my SDI to HDMI converter... Once I flipped the two cables it worked... Not sure if that will help...

I was told by support that I need to use a dual-link to get the BOB to work via SDI.
We need the HDMI to work and after numerous display tests nothing works for us.

I just posted about this issue here : http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?p=679739#post679739
You all might want to send Deanan a REALLY NICE email and you might just get the HDMI alpha firmware
upgrade... otherwise you are spinning your wheels as HDMI is not supported in public builds yet.

I've experienced the same problem. I'm hooking up my RR mobile from MaxxDigital to my Cinetal via HDSDI dual link.
I have tested out YUV 422 12, 10, 8 and it only works from SDI 1 which makes sense. However switching to YUV 444 8 I see no difference in the image nor do I see any signal going into SDI 2. What bothers me is that when I select the dual link SDI on the Cinetal, eg HD 709 RGB DUAL-LINK EXTENDED RANGE and feed it an RGB signal the image goes a tinge of green.
Swapping the cables over makes it go purple. Even though the Cinetal is displaying SDI1&2 I know that there is no signal coming out of SDI 2 from RR card.
How do I get a signal from SDI 2 of the RR card?
Opting for HD 709 YCbCr Single-Link Full Range (SDI 1) on the Cinetal fed by SDI Out 1 from RedRocket with a 1920 x1080 YUV 422 from RCX gives me a clean image.
I'd love to know if RCX supports dual *HDSI output out of RR card on the Mobile Rocket from MaxxDigital and/if/or that my RR card is to blame.
Best regards
Mark
