Give it up.
I feel your pain and realize that this user group includes some particularly heinous offenders who cause me to wince several times daily, but I guess that imagemakers think that, since our stock-in-trade is pictures, there is no need to be clear and precise with the written word.
As imagemakers who appreciate well-written missives, it is both a blessing for our careers and a curse for our sensibilities that the world is moving away from the written word and toward the spoken word and image. And the change seems inevitable and unstoppable.
Having graduated from an English writing program many years ago, I have learned that the world does NOT want to know how to communicate in standard English (or any other language, for that matter). And attempts to school others on spelling, usage, grammer, punctualization, capitalization, etc., will only lead to others treating you like a shrill, nitpicking zealot.
