cant play h264 movies in quicktime?

Am I being stupid, but I cant play h264 quicktime movies on my PC. I have not got quicktime pro, just normal? Is this why?

You are not the only person I've heard say this before. There is some windows configuration which messes up h264 apparently. I'm not sure if that's in quicktime only or any h264 abled player. (For example flash h264.) It should work and shouldn't require pro - I think it's a config thing. you're not along - google it and see if you find a solution.

Try VLC player.

It's one of the few players that plays h264 on a pc.
