I was bored today, and being that so much awesome footage has been rolling in lately, I put this video together.. I've been wanting to cut everyone's footage to this song for a while now and was originally going to wait for another 2 or so months, so more footage could be included, but I thought, what the hell...
If you want your footage out of this video, please send me a PM, and if you want to add footage or contribute to this demo, please PM as well and I will cut it in.. I think 90% of your public videos are in here.. There is obviously some low-res looking stuff in there too, more noticeable with the 720p version.. If you are the shooter and would like it to look more pristine, send me a link and I'll download and re-insert.
Also, this is an ongoing hobby project for me, so I see it changing and growing with new footage in the future..
Enjoy & thanks to all for posting such great stuff for us to look at.

It just occurred to me that it can't be a 720p, since the max I ever posted was 1k (1024x512) of several of those clips. So we can at least get a 1k of this. However, if I am the only low-res one of the clips, I'll get you higher res to bump this puppy up.

nice. thank you including the footage we shot out in Utah. Do you know where the post is that has the link to the footage shot with the fisheye? (the hall shot with the guys in the orange jacket) I would love to find out what lens that was.

Compressing a better 720p version, I will upload in the morning, if someone could mirror the file, I would be happy. I cut this in 720p, so yes Shawn, higher res stuff from you would be awesome, I'll post it in the next update.. Higher res stuff from Jim would be awesome too! :) Time for sleeping
Mike, that would the Asylum footage that offhollywood posted earlier. http://www.digitalfx.tv/clients/red/...um_4k_h264.mov

good scope rick.. but that editing speed.. your trade mark you used to be from DVXuser, HVX200 etc.. you should decrease the cut.. mainly at the beginning.. just my 2 cents.

You have 666 posts.. sign of the beast..
I agree.. but I like the build up.. this thing will change as we see more footage for sure.
720p version is coming up.. Give my connection 30-45 minutes to upload.. going now..

Richard,
Way, way cool. It's really nice to see the whole sense of community that RED has embraced come full circle. I hope that some of my offerings will "make the cut" in the future! :-)
Many kudos,

Nice promo...excellent work. I just have a couple of worries.
While almost all of the footage looks amazingly good, may I ask (with all due respect) what the deal is with the following alarmingly noisy shots:
0:38 - Man in bed hits alarm clock
0:57 - Man shooting handguns towards camera
1:03 - Woman smoking (up-rezzed right?)
Everything else looks so good that I assume these shots are noisy for a reason, compression after the fact or whatever...
Just checking though. :)

Yes, yes & yes. Alarm clock clip was lower-res, and I blasted it out since it was dark.. Handgun man was underlit footage, under-res, had to blow it out as well.. Woman smoking, woman in front of sun and fassst Red car were all low-res..

And I think most of the sources were H.264??
So Richard did a butt-load of work to
get what he got!!
Richards # is coming up - can't wait to
see what he shoots for his edits!!

I watched this again and love it even more! Besides my footage, what is the minimum resolution you have of this footage?
Just checked...
Minimum resolution is a surprising 512x256 !
Most clips are 1024x512. Most are H.264.
In case you were wondering, these are all the resolutions I had to play with..
1920x1080
2048x1024
1888x944
1280x720
1024x576
960x540
1024x512
914x494
640x360
512x288 (Jim's plane footage)
512x256 (Paranoid clip.. Woman running, Red car racing..)
Everything was cut in a DVCPROHD 720p timeline within Final Cut 6. God bless Final Cut 6...
Glad you guys are enjoying it! I can't wait to jump into the pool!

Thanks Richard, that was really cool. It's great to have a consolidated source for all the footage that has come out. I recently heard a director arguing that Red is vaporware, and how the cg renderings on red.com prove that the camera doesn't exist. I love that people can still believe that when so much great footage is out there and everything at Red has been so transparent. Facing such ignorance, all one can do is chuckle.
