Its funny...Sometimes you take a risk in something you beleive in and doors open and oppertunities show-up.

Here I have been sweating on how to get the gigs to justify RED1.

A couple of weeks goes buy and then I meet with a producer who has shooters that use the DVX100. We talk and I show her my HD material and the conversation comes up about a producing a movie from a popular play in HD.

I said "sure I can do that type of gig. What is the budget"...."wel for that budget I might be able to do better than HD" and I left it at that. Until I have RED and mastered RED I can't commit to it yet.

Now this (if it comes through) will be the best paying gig yet.

Oh and the joke is her boss is a great friend of mine who I have't sopken to in 8 years and didn't know I do video now and I didn't know he was a producer.

So we will see how RED pan out for me...the HD wedding guy

Great news, sonis! See? It was good we all goaded you into plunking down a $1,000 for your RED ONE reservation, right? I think that anecdote is a hint of what the future may hold for many of us. Once we "own" this kind of production capability, opportunites may arise all around us.
