Hi guys

I'm preparing a whole range of interviews which I will be conducting in January with cinematographers, colorists, rental house owners and post production people as part of a documentary I am producing on the topic of High Definition.

The whole point of the documentary will be to give people an insight on the HD format and most importantly...which is the right HD format to choose for their application.

I was hoping for some input from you guys on discussion topics and questions you might have, just think if you could interview any DOP or colorist or post production/ vfx supervisor about the topic HD, what would you ask them ?

thanks for the help.

There is currently a battle raging about resolution. Some Professionals tasked with selecting a camera for their productions have the option of shooting at greater than HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. How important is "future-proofing" and what do you owe the producers who have put their trust in you, to safe guard their content in a landscape of changing technology?

Fly out to LA and interview Michael Cioni of Light Iron Digital. He knows more about Red and HD cinematography and post than pretty much anybody I know.

You should also get some name DPs to comment on camera. If you read the last couple of years' worth of American Cinematographers, that'll give you a good starting list. The ASC has also done some seminars on Film vs. Digital that bring up some good points to cover.
