Any thoughts on this as a set up?

Cheers.

ZF's sound good, especially being completely manual and all. It'd be nice if they came in longer focal lengths though.

Set up for what?

Drama? Doco? Self-shoot?

If you use a canon mount you can use contax/yashica zeiss which are very similar optically and mechanically and have T* coatings and numerous focal lengths and zooms.

My thoughts exactly!
The Zeiss Contax C/Y mounts range from 15mm up to 500mm, and a Mutar 1.4X & 2X teleconverter can be added.

28mm f2.0
50mm f1.4
85mm f1.4

also
135mm f2.8 contax version with canon adapter

Uniform front screw-in filters. Front is rubber -expendable. Can work as shade/filter holder or simply uniform lens front.
Because lenses expend when focusing this is really great as you don't have to worry about your mattebox.

Gear is high quality Delrin, custom made 360° rotation.
Lenses were not de-clicked, so they can be also used on the dslr.
Lenses are in perfect condition. They always had high quality UV filter on them. B&W
except 28mm they will be included (B&W)

Lenses come in small pelican case.
Price:
$2900 for all

I am also selling my entire 5D markII setup for very reasonable price.
I will make a post in appropriate forum latter on today.

thanks

Sounds good. Did Matthew Duclos do the gear rings etc?

Would you be interested in selling just the 28 and the 85? I already have the 50mm so I wouldn't really be interested in the set.

Cheers.

Considering this for a rehearsal/play rig as well. Zeems like a set of Duclos modded ZFs is perfect for my needs. Anyone have any bad (or good) experiences?

btw, Clay, I believe that is nearly the only difference between the ZF and ZF.2s.
