I just received the Redstation CF Module and tested it on a 16G card. Two minutes to offload 14G via eSata. Holy S^%* that's fast!
For anyone who's skeptical of the value of this thing: It's totally worth the price.

Wow! that is fast. I wonder if they would let R-1 owners who buy a CF module to trade it in for an SSD version when they trade in their cameras during Stage 3?
edit: forgot to put an emoticon at the end.

Unless I get rid of my Nikons when Epic is here, I don't see myself wanting to let go of this thing. Before I tested with the 16G Red card, i offloaded a few 8G cards from a still shoot. (These were 8G Red cards that I use for stills now.) The offload was noticeably faster than I'm used to, but with Lightroom's overhead, not quite so noticeable as the 16G Red card. Or maybe the 16G card is just that much faster, I don't know.
But the thing is fast. Very fast.

Good point on its value for other CF than RED.

I've had a great experience with Dynex brand cards - cheap and reliable. I have the PCI card and Expresscard34 version.

I would highly recommend this one, You could say it's from the source. be aware there are two types of 3132 cards. RAID and non-RAID. Each require different drivers. One will not work with the opposite driver or both installed.

If you're laptop based and running a 64-bit version of OSX, Tempo Sata Pro is by far the best option. I used to have a Dynex card, but it was bricked after the 10.6 update because of its chipset.
The Tempo Sata Pro express 34 adaptors are compatible across the board - win7, OSX, 64 or 32 bit, port multiplier aware, RAID capable. A bit expensive, but worth it.
