We have a Denecke TS-C slate and a Tascam HD-P2 with all of the cables and such but so far we can't make the Red chase. When we hit jam on the Red, the timecode stays in Rec Run. Any suggestions to get it to go time of day and chase?
thanks,
Noah

go into your settings and set the visible timecode to time of day. As long as you see the little chainlink symbol in the bottom right of the menu bar, you are jamming timecode.
Please note though, that the timecode only jams on start/stop, so you may need to do a rec check to get it to initiate the jam.

Ah got it- I think I'm good then. I have the Jam link icon and here's what happens:
TC does not move during pause. When I start recording, it moves from the last paused timecode- which is still not in sync with the slate but continues to run during the take.
Then at the end of the take there's a pause while I see POST in place of the TC. Then the time code resets to match the out timecode on the slate and holds on that time until I start recording the next take. I take it a request to have it running in free run all the time so we can see it's in sync before a take ends- is already on the list? :construction:

For anyone else doing Jam Sync.
Remember to set you Timecode preference from 'Edge' to 'Timecode' otherwise your QT refs will carry the Edge code even though you have set Jam Sync.
For ease of set up I'd like to see this function included in the main Timecode menu rather than 'Preferences' where it is now.
Yes to Free Run display.
