Kona3 FCP setting to view 2.33 in correct aspect ratio

I have a Kona3 and working in FCP with 2240x960 footage and would like to output the signal via my Kona3 card and view it in the correct aspect ratio.

I'm getting playback but the image is stretched to full the 1920x1080 frame and when I stop the play head it gives me the correct aspect ratio but when I play it it stretches it out.

Anyone know the settings needed to have the Kona not stretch the footage on playback and have it play at the correct aspect ratio?

I spoke to AJA support and it seems the Kona3 can't do what I am wanting as that frame size is not supported.
