This video for Battles (http://www.uva.co.uk/wp/videopop.php?vid=1190821571&url=http://www.uva.co.uk/wp) has a pretty unique concept. I like that the band is pretty obscured in the shadows most of the time and that the lights are really tightly coordinated with the band's rhythms. With the length of the song, the concept wears a little thin at times but I find it quite inspirational.

Too bad they didn't have a Red... the shadow and highlight detail would have been a lot nicer.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for posting this. I missed these guys when they toured here recently.

It would be interesting to see how RED performs with flickering lights in shot like this. The LED units would need to be synced with camera to avoid shutter problem as seen in DIE MANNEQUIN video posted here a while back.

There is some more photos and information on UWA's website here:- http://www.uva.co.uk/wp/videopop.php?vid=1190821571&url=http://www.uva.co.uk/wp

Including this:-

We created a unique LED installation in a disused Welsh slate mine - an audio synchronised field of light contrasting with the rugged terrain. The video consists of our documentation of the band’s marathon 11 hour performance, as well as a series of time lapse pieces from the surrounding geography.
