Yeah RED would have been good to use, but we shot this Film 2 years ago and the JVC was the only camera suitable at the time...

Hi AJ, did you guys really work with the JVC without any 35mm lens adaptor ? What lenses did you use ? I own the JVC, too, but in case of fiction work, I always used P&S plus HS lenses from Zeiss, which was a great combination...

oh ok, looks really nice though , cant wait to see it on the big screen , im supposing you have just been to the premiere now ,i was speaking to one of the vfx dudes for the movie the other day and he mentioned it seemed for you guys to be the best night shoot camera where a lot of the scenes were taking place .Con-grats a truly great Australia production!

It's a real testament to the quality of the JVC camera and the filmmakers that the film looked so good. I knew going in that the film had been blown up from 720p to 35mm for distribution - and it looked great.
Unfortunately, IMO the film itself didn't quite work. Which is a shame considering the obvious effort that went into making it. But I suppose that's one of the perils of being so ambitious on such a limited budget.
