View Full Version : Errors sending a project into FCP via XML

FCP keeps telling me under the XML errors that it can't find my files, even if they are obviously there under the correct name. I can connect them manually and the timeline is OK after that, even if it's complaining about file attributes too.
This happens both under German or English system settings (see my other bug regarding folder problems only under German).
FCP is current, as is OS X.
BTW, I tried different TC settings to no avail. Tried Premiere Pro too, it imported the XML, but not the QT files, no error message here.
Up to now, Storm looks quite promising, but not useable yet to me.

Interesting...
I was contemplating to test it for a conform on a ten minutes short with mostly r3d material, and send it off to reslove and color with and without rocket, but I guess that's not yet a good idea...

BTW, going the other way round works (editing QT proxies in FCP and sending the XML to Storm).
But I consider going from Storm to FCP even more important, since we can do a raw cut in Storm alone. If I want to render the footage in the raw cut to a high quality format after a first grade in Storm and then send it all to FCP, this needs to be fully functional.
Plus, it would be nice to have FCP XMLs from Premiere Pro working as well (filenames need to have the _001 stripped here). Even if you can edit R3D natively in PPro, the internal options for grading are not that convincing. But with the level of grading offered in Storm, one might be fine for some projects editing in PPro, grading in Storm and sending it all back in a high quality format for finishing (PPro is even handling DPX with a fast RAID).

Daniel,
Is version 1.0v1b6 available for the public beta?

BTW, it would be nice if the XMLs from Storm would work with PPro as well. OK, it's not as important for PPro as for FCP, but it could come in handy too.
