kind of choppy sorry but the plane is pretty cool looking

this was shot about a month ago, in a rush when i got an alpha of the 80fps 2k.

i know there was some dust on the sensor...and it was not tweaked in REDAlert or REDCine...just watch if you like and if you dont well...move on.

not trying to win awards just playing with the camera between gigs and taking care of a 5 month old baby.

Thank you for sharing Kosmo... 80 frames is pretty nice to have. I can't wait to apply this to some "really big" military aircraft that I will be shooting at some point in the first few months of next year.

ahh... So there I was, trying to get some footage of an airplane landing... As the plane approached, I fired up the Red One, lifted it onto my shoulder ... And all of a sudden--30 TSA agents came out of nowhere, guns drawn and started yelling "drop your weapon or we will shoot!!!"

To get planes landing, we used to go and shoot airplanes landing at LAX where the limos used to wait their turns (not sure if they do any more--haven't done it since 9/11) Seemed the plane was 50 feet right over your head--one of the scariest things to do was to try to stand and let the plane land over your head--as it felt like the plane was flying right into you. I just couldn't look. I would set the camera up, turn it on and close my eyes.

I doubt you could get that close any more, but if you get them head on you don't even need slow motion.

For real?

How'd it turn out?

TSA agents do not play around.

I don't know if that story is real, but what is scary
is the thought of TSA agents having guns? I don't
think they carry - do they? I can't remember
ever seeing a TSA agent packing?

They aren't authorized to carry guns.

The footage is nice. Any chance to see it bigger?

No, I was just throwing out a wild vision based on having security pointing something they've never seen before at a landing aircraft. Also, based on the early red one designs that looked more like a rocket launcher and people worried about pointing it a presidents and planes.

Sorry for the alarm. Thought the joking was obvious.

Great Narrative Tension when you think the plane is gonna hit the Truck

Actually about a month ago we shot some footage inside and out of LAX no problem...but that was with an HVX200.
