Just to make sure everybody knows about it... Mike Curtis from HD For Indies and DoP Jendra Jarnagin gave a presentation of the RED One camera (a first for Spain!) on the 12th of October this year. Here are the links to watch or download from:

"This session is about the Red One camera – what it is about, how it works, why it is better, and why it is the best thing to happen to indie filmmaking tech since cheap nonlinear editing... And why it totally fits into the HD for independents philosophy of affordable, controllable, high quality moviemaking that can scale across a wide range of budgets."

Cheers,

It's also possible to directly download the video onto your hard disk, and watch them later on full screen, or even on your TV (DivX codec)...

Looks like part one has gone AWOL. Can't download from Third Man's link, and can't get it to load over at Stage6.

EDIT: I take that back. I got it to load, and then it crashed my browser.

EDIT 2: Okay, got it working. I wish maybe there'd been someone recording direct from his microphone so we didn't have camera audio echoing through the room. Makes it a little tricky to hear occasionally.

Anyway, watching now...

I'll be posting on hdforindies.com as well. I really enjoyed doing the presentation with Jendra, between me for techie post and her for techie camera and Pol Turrents for techie Spanish, we were able to cover a lot of ground in 2 1/2 hours. I'll be updating the page tomorrow with embedded video, but here's a page I have about the event, with some stills and descriptions as well:

I'll add the embedded streaming video tomorrow.
