Quick CC try here (http://www.reduser.net/forum/uploaded/1434_1193820083.jpg).

Just punching the levels, lowering highlights, sharpening and adding some light grain.

Thank you very much, very interesting.
I love the natural light around the barn, but the lighting on the caracters is a little too plastic to really match, in my opinion that is.
Very promising.

IMO it is one of the best grabs we've seen since the Peter Jackson short. Would like to see a 4K jpg though.

Very nice. Looks like a movie....and that's not a smart-ass comment. Sometimes we see well lit, well-framed, etc. and it still doesn't have that "movie" feel to it. Of course, this is all very subject.

Thanks for sharing and nice work!

Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate your honest critique. I think there is a great deal of flexibility working with the raw image that could take this scene through different asthetic moods. I only did some minor tweaks using RED Alert but I would venture to guess that the scene will look quite different after the real grading is done by James.

I did very minor tweaks in Red Alert. The amazing thing is that this stuff looks so good even without any adjustments applied.

Good light, good camera, the shot looks wonderful from a technical viewpoint.

Just for what little it may be worth, as someone who grew up on a farm, the actors look out of place to me because they have neat haircuts and there is no visible dirt or wear on them or on their clothes. The set looks like a real 1920s barn but the actors look like time travellers.

I am making assumtions though; so big credit to the designers if that is what the script actually calls for!

Man this is really awesome stuff; when I enlarged the one of the Medium Closeup I thought "Cinema". Is it just me or does that scruffy guy in that third pic look like Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa?

The stills look awesome.

I agree with the comments about the actors needing some more dirt and the clothes look too new. Need to show dirt and wear, but perhaps that doesn't fit into context with the story. The clothes and the haircuts of the three guys in the barn are out of place. The scruffy guy and his large companion at the table with the cards look at home in those sets. Just the clothes still look to nice and new.

The waggy tongue emoticon should cue you that he's joking. He's giving a fictional "context" to his particular take on the grading.

Since he's from Berlin, I'm guessing the humor was lost in translation, so to speak.

lol Greg.. I think he was kidding as indicated by the little smiley face with tongue. Nice to see you join the party though haha.
