Hello-
We are trying to send large video files to a client in Shanghai, but it keeps getting routed to Beijing and takes FOREVER.
1 Gigabyte took 19 hours!
after hours it took 5 hours to send 2 GIGS.
Is there a faster way to send 20 gigabytes?
I am assuming the government filters are causing the problem?
Please PM me for suggestions solutions.

Hi Tim!
The best & easier way you can do is to send you hard drive via express,
otherwise, you may can try to apply your user name through "qq dot com"
then you can upload the large file through there.
Cheers & good luck

Tim,
Are you trying to send via FTP? If so, you might considering establishing a VPN connection and then initiating the FTP transfer...
I'm out and about for the weekend, but we have a spare 1TB that we haven't deployed yet. Email me at info [at] newdefmedia dot tv
I'll check it remotely over the weekend and see if you have any follow up questions...
Best of luck

Yes it is filtered and speed capped. Sitting here in Shanghai next to a fiber and canīt get more than 3mb.
Donīt think VPN will help you but it might be a good try. Patience or couriers.......
We also have a producer coming back from Bangkok in two days, so in emergency it could be another route.

Have you tried a third party like yousendit pro? No idea if this will help, just an idea. You may randomly find a smaller commercial transfer company is not blocked..,

Get a VPN for your client in China. It Should penetrate the governmental filter without any problem. We purchased an American VPN account last year, it works well so far.
