This is great. Glad to see it's happening here. Lots of potential in the archipelago.

I've been on the fence because we do primarily doc work and lots of run and gun. I played with the camera at the Jackson Hole FF, seems like it'd be tough for small team jungle/mountain work though we remain really keen and keeping an eye on the R&D.

We should all get acquainted! I'm up in Ubud if any of you are ever up this way, though I do get out to Jakarta frequently.

John at Centro has invested more than USD 30 Millions over the years in changing everything in post production world from HKG.

John did 2K film scan back in 1996, and he was a true pioneer in data world to anything.

Where were the others in HKG back then ?

Centro has just finished two 900r 3D films for the HIGH-Level with their QUANTEL IQ system with Stereoscopic software.

I can say it's the 1st ever in 3D D-Film making in ASIA. No more Films OK Magician you believe AH ?

whom are aimed for full length cinema releases
Images are converted into .dpx for 2K work handle by Clipster
or mostly into HDCam SR 444 for easy handling
da Vinci 2K plus still play a important in the creation.

RED's Build 16 will be interesting,
So with the delay in the release of REDs SDK
I should be looking forwards for an advanced workflow in a few months time..

However if it is for movie release in Asia, currently the 2K or HDCam SR444 workflow both fit the economy

I have 13 full length movies DI completion this April.
I am most happy to study and make a workflow to facilitate Asian movie work

My own 2 REDs is believed to be in this Saturday, I also believe they will be still in build 15??? Vietnam and China has interest for their movie works

May I ask what do you mean of " Advance Workflows " ? DPX ? TIFF ? CinemaDNG ? DCI ?

Why not REDCODE native files R3D for now and future from RED one to REDCODE based DI on-line grading then RED RAY playback systems in early 2009 for the RED Digital Cinema ASIA.

Base Light does not support native Redcode files as fasr as I know, and outputing DPX or Tiff files from Redcine is very time consuming though for 60 mons show !!!

Pak Wong is our consultant in Jakarta, ie we have other consultant in other Aisan country. He would be in Hong Kong next week.

So you could go either straight to us, or through Pak Wong.
Cost is the same.
Pak Wong has a lot of experience in solving various arrangements and film post problem.

I really would like to start to work for the first RED feature from Indonesia..
Send ne some clip when ready, I will ask Pak Wong to show you a 35mm Cinematic film clip in Jakarta.
