As I am the Nikon freak par excellence, I'm always excited to find new options for my RED with Nikon mount(when I get it next year, that is) Take a look at these babies. It's just great to see Nikon getting so much 3rd party support lately:

"The Nokton 58mm F1.4 SLII meanwhile is based on a Topcor design with seven elements in six groups and when mounted on an APS-C camera replicates the angle of view of an 85mm making it an ideal choice for portrait photography"

I have a ton of their Leica M lenses, (and will be making a RED Leica M mount to use them)They are top notch!

Mike, if you make a Leica mount for RED I definitely want one. When do you plan to start working on it?

I like the Heliar 12mm. Not very fast but good.

jaadgy,
As soon as I get a body, or get a hold of one to take some measurements off of. No guaranty that it's going to work out that well due to the optical design of the lenses. The exit pupil on most Leica M lenses throws the light out at such a steep angle sensors have issues catching all the light. On the M8 Leica did a ton of work with Kodak to develop offset micro lenses on the pixels to correct for the steep angle of attack of the light. Without those I'm not sure how the Mysterium will react, especially with the wider lenses. On some Leica M wide lenses the rear element sits less than 5mm from the film plane!
