I'm referring to the 3 PL mount prime lenses included with the Sony F3 as their "kit" lenses.
Can anyone who has shot with these lenses with the F3 please comment on their mechanical and optical properties? How do they compare with other lower priced cinema lenses like RED pro primes, Zeiss CP's, etc.

I believe the lenses are not PL but rather Sony F mount [my bad, pointed out below that actually they ARE PL mount] and are only available for purchase w/ an F3. And they haven't been released yet.

I saw the F3 camera and a Sony 50mm lens at a demo recently. The lenses are PL mount lenses and Sony is using an adapter to mount them to their proprietary F mount. They would give no information about the manufacture of the lenses outside of saying they are made in Japan.

Philip Bloom has something about it here (http://philipbloom.net/2010/12/26/stardust/)

I have used them, I don`t think they are ture cine lenses, more like PL mount still camera lenses. They have huge diameter but small glasses. Focus throw less then 120°, and not smooth. Optical perform very digital, I would rather get ZAs to work with F3.
