Just wondering if anyone knows where the first Epic is likely to land in Australia? Hoping its a rental house like Lemac or an individual open to renting it out.

I know times are still a bit sketchy but it looks like things are moving right along now so if anyone knows anything would like to hear here :tongue_smilie:

Lemac have early serial numbers as does Cail Young, the Graetz bros, Mike Seymour, Cam McGath, and myself. Pretty sure all those ones will be stage 2.

Any others I missed with earlier serials than myself (1103) at stage 2 please chime in - I'm curious also to see how many are hitting the ground here.

Cheers

Cam

I'm just a little behind Cam with #1389 and I'm for Stage 2. I'm based in Perth, WA. I know Brian Cattaway in Kalgoorlie, WA has an earlier serial and is Stage 2 as well.

Thanks Sam - that reminds me - I think Chris Kenworthy has an earlyish one in WA too.

I'm pretty early at 228, but Mark Toia will get some soon after Lemac. I think he's about 150.

I would have thought Mike Seymour would be a prime candidate for an EPIC M. Isn't he serial number 26 or something?

All depends on who can pony up the cash fast enough, and whether RDC is willing to sell EPIC-Ms outside the USA - I know Mr Toia is ready to drop $60k on a camera just to have it earlier, and Lemac may be in a position to do so as well...

That said, we have our deposits in for stage #2 and our earliest serial is #242 - you do the maths.

Wow 26 is impressive but you'd assume he would need to be first in to keep on top of the training and such.

Either way looks to be a lot of reasonable numbers here so should be some interesting times after NAB. Oh and Scott dont feel bad - at least you're in ;-)

Yes we are #22 and yes we will be keen to work with the local community if we are the first. BTW Ted is here first week of March from RED.

I don't believe Chris Kenworthy actually ended up getting his camera. I don't think it was going to arrive in time for his feature so he used Terry Delahunt's and cancelled his order. Terry got the first camera in Perth but I believe he is going Stage 3 (please correct me if I'm wrong Terry).

Would love to Meet Ted from RED (and you too Mike). I assume he is bringing a SCARLET with him? I figure that thing is surgically attached to his hand ;-)

Sorry I wont be at Ted's talk - but I will be around later that week.

Thanks

I've put my hand up for Epic-M #329 - but not really holding my breath that the program will extend that far. Both #329 and #2594 are deposited for Stage 2.
Pretty sure Toia has offered Jim his firstborn for an M so that could be second in the country after Mike's.
Looking forward to the Epic-M fxphd course :)

I will be stage 2 looking to support feature scripts which take advantage of the camera and push boundaries, outside of government funding in moderate budget ranges. Please contact me with synopsis if this interests anyone.
