I successfully downloaded and installed the OSX version about an hour ago... Haven't dug into it yet.

Wonder if the "H.264 Encoding on Mac32 doesn't support resolution beyond 1440x1080" error has been fixed: http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=55009

Will try it out once I get back to the studio. If better realtime playback occurs on my Mac Pro 12 core... I'll be bowing to you guys. :-)

The specific details on 7.1.1 general performance and stability improvements are not published, however I can say the team here have made a few tweaks that will be beneficial for all users.
If you find any new issues please submit the details to
davincihelp@Blackmagic-design.com
So we can keep on improving the system each day.
Thanks
Peter

While BM had some bad reputation for service or frequency of fixes in the old days, the Resolve team has changed that drastically. You guys rock!

How about Euphonix support? Any progress on that?
Thanks

Totally agree. I'm also quite pleased with my Decklink HD Extrme 3D+ card. Only complaint is still the placement of the HDMI ports.

Is there any chance for ProRes support on linux?

Only if you attach a Mac to your network.

What do you suggest? I'm already converting ProRes from Alexa on mac. Am i missing something?

What Mike is saying, is that how Baselight does it.

That's up to Apple. Until now, they only offer a decoder for Windows and no encoder other than the one in FCP or licensed ones for hardware vendors like AJA or ARRI.

Linux can't work with ProRes unless there is a Mac attached to the network. It's a b*&tch!

What Mike is saying, is that how Baselight does it.

What I'm saying is that Apple has only provided decode support on any platform other than OS X, and that other platform is Windows. If you want to encode ProRes, OS X is the only supported platform. Period. Unless Apple decides to open up the codec (not likely), that's the way it is and will likely remain.

It's also how Autodesk does it.

Prediction/Hope:

Resolve 7.2 will be announced/released by NAB with my two most important petitions that will help every single user managing R3D:

1. An addition of a "Page/Room" to the main interface (Wave, JLCooper and of course BD consoles) to directly manipulate the Red parameters.

2. Capability to user commanded "Reload" the RMD information.
:emote_popcorn:

This team is incredible; responsive and very professional. Kudos to BMD!

well...i kind of hope on multilayer timeline for NAB....

but talking missing red features : R3D settings version independent is really missing ... is very useful try let say "redgamma + grade" and Redgamma 2+grade " etc....and compare it as versions ...but now resolve is SDK setting per shat dependent ...
