We are planning to shoot a one shot 30 second commercial with steadicam.
The main idea is to move with steadicam among some young people and
stop for 2-3 seconds in front of each one.. What I have in mind is not a total
stop, but a super slowmotion.. Then the camera will move again to its normal speed..

Now, I know the following:
1- The steadicam operator must be skillful.
2- I need to take care of the focus..
3- I have to shoot 60 fps or more
4- I need a plugin like foundry kronos, or revision twixtor for After effects for slowing down the footage..
5- I have to play with after effects time remapping
6-Lot of rehearsals..
7- Good planning. (Actually I would like to hear some advices about this issue)

I need to know:
1- What should I do to get the best from Kronos or twixtor.. I have tried both
and I have had some good results for 50% slower footage.. But now I think I need it much slower.
2- The shutter speed issues..
3- Any link of similar works
4- Any useful hint or idea would be welcomed..

P.s. I have seen the music video "You Don't Know Me" in the twixtor site. It's
cool but if you watch in high quality in youtube, you'll see a lot of artifacts..

Thanks in advance

As a shooter, I have two thoughts:

1. Shoot everything at your max FPS. If 60, shoot it all at 60 and slow it down in post.

2. Regarding shutter speed, consider/TEST shooting it at 1/60th shutter or a 1/90th (half of 1/60th and 120th) The issue with speeding up slow motion footage is sometimes the short shutter looks hyper-real and too sharp. Test it, even it on set and play it back in camera.

Cheers,
Rich
