Hi

Looking for views on the Optica Elite T 1.3 (not digital) glass.

General build quality and mechanical standard.
Are the focus marls precise
Do they flare "nice" comparable to: xxx?
Serviceability.
Any comments and comparisons welcomed really.

Last week a colleague and I did a side by side test with the 110mm barrel Elites and the RPP's. I've got some frames. If you like PM me and I'll make a page and send out links- It's gonna take a me little while, out of town and then a bunch of busy.

I think Fredrik Callinggard (formerly known as Weirdcrew) is the man to talk to. I believe he owned a full set and compared them to MP's once.

I have a optica 20mm - it's not a bad lens but...

exhibits some fringing at wider than t1.8 - thus softer.
at t1.8 it bites up quite a bit.
RPPs are sharper. As are Zeiss standards.
It's T transmission beats the standards (due to portholing) - a t2.1 the standards are a about a stop darker than the Elite at the same T2.1.

Yes but you got it a little wrong lol. I never compared them to MP's hahaha. You most probably confuse it with that I also own a set of MP's. :cheers2:
