Make me an offer on the Mac Pro. RED Rocket should be close to the BT price. RED Rocket BOB has never been used. It has had it's firmware upgraded but that is about it.
RED Rocket SOLD
RED Rocket Breakout Box $750
Mac Pro 3.2GHz (8-core) SOLD
nVidia GeForce GT 120 (512 MB) PCIe card
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-112D Superdrive
16GB RAM 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM (8x 2GB) OWC $135 x 4 = $540 (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/64FB2MPK04GB/)
Max Upgrades Optical Drive Bay Disk Mounting Assembly = $119 (http://www.maxupgrades.com/istore/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=158)
OWC Mercury Extreme Pro SSD 120GB = $250 (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/SSDMX120/)
(4x) Hitachi Enterprise series 2TB SATA drives (HUA722020ALA330) $240 x 4 = $960
Includes wireless keyboard and mouse that I only used a couple of times.
I checked the 8TB software RAID0 with the AJA Disk test:
467.9 MB/s Write. 465.9 MB/s Read.
These Hitachi Enterprise Series drives are practically brand new. All I did was write zeros to each one and then stripped them together in a software RAID0. I then copied about 4TB of R3D's onto it and that's about it.
One of the Hitachi 2TB drives is located in the second optical drive bay along with the SSD boot drive. This leaves one of the 4 built-in SATA drive bays open for you to add an additional drive for a total of 6.
I have all the original boxes.
