With Storm coming out of Beta in a couple of days I was just wondering what we can expect in terms of storm staying current. I love the software and plan to buy it anyways, but even with the incredible price they are offering Storm at, every dollar counts and I like to plan ahead.
With the Epic just around the corner, will the version of Storm that we buy on March 1st eventually have HDRx™ functionality? or will that require a paid upgrade? How often will paid upgrades be available with Storm?

With Storm we are following the normal model for software at around this price point. That is that if you buy v1.0 that will be good for all v1.x versions. We'll attempt to ship not just bug fixes, but significant improvements during the life of v1.0. The engineers are already working on new features for v1.1. When v2.0 ships there will be an upgrade cost.

We are working with RED and the early Epic customers to ensure that we keep up to date, but no, the first version won't include HDR support (though I believe you can get at the underlying images.
