DCP question

Dear All

if you help me I may avoid big effort :)

So I have movie rendered as 1920X1080

for DCP I am required to make 2048X1080 TIFFs

So what I did is when I imported from Color to FCP I changed sequence settings from 1920X1080 16:9 to 2048X1080 Custom so it made little lines on the left and right of the image which is OK. So does this work when I export image sequence. The image dimensions are really 2048X1080 after export

BUT, when I open tiff image it has transparent line on the left an right

and when I rendered in color from the begining as 2048X1080 then it had same lines but not transparent black ones

so Will first case work in Easy DCP to make DCP? cause if I do not have to rerender in color as 2048X1080 again it would save me some time

No, in this case you want 1998x1080, 39 pixels black padding on each side. You could also target 1920x1080 but it's not guaranteed that theatres will have a matching projector preset.

2048x1080 is never used.

`i have seen how they make DCP there is 2048X1080 exactly, I do not know how or why but I am sure

I solved problem with matte background
