We are on day 2 of the NY portion of an 8 day shoot that has already been to paris and will travel to LA.

big news, today on EPIC we shot 1.880.66 Terabytes of data over 10 hours on one EPIC-M, #00087.

We cycled through 2 x 256 and 4 x 128 cards - 15 card changes in all. at 5:1 compression, 128g is about 20 minutes of footage.

the camera performed like a charm, not one problem to report, other than with all that data plus data from a red one, a 5d, a 1d, and sony f3, i am still making copies of the data and we wrapped 3 1/2 hours ago...2.8 terabytes in total.

this camera is a work horse!

Wow, sounds really cool! No heat issues or anything? That's amazing.

Great to hear that there aren't any hiccups, but this...

...scares me a little bit.

Any pics to share Dino?
Anything would be fun to see even if its just you in the tent.
The Museum part sounds cool.

this project is for a purposely built 4k theatre in a very high-end museum that focuses on photography, so shooting at 5:1 is important for the closeups as they want the highest possible resolution.

you don't need to shoot at 5:1 for your projects particularly if they will end up on the internet.

That's a heck of a day for one camera! I've had some 3-4TB days here, but it's all spread out. That's some serious run time.

Nice!

i think it must be a record and you would know, as you would be the only one that would have had a bigger day thus far with one body...

As far as shoot days... I've not seen more through one body! I've done testing days where I've rolled and ingested dozens upon dozens of mags but that's no shoot day! Awesome.

It's time to step past FW and SATA drives, eh? :)

Am I seeing what I'm seeing? An Epic, an MX, and a Tango system? I.E. 3D?

not 3d, just two different focal lengths. wide and tight.

#00087 ? Does this mean there are at least 87 epics out there?

That's "one point eight" TB right?

Not "eighteen hundred" TB.

Hehe, I saw that comma in the post as well. I think it's safe to say he means "one point eight". Some countries use commas instead of decimal points.
