Good day .
I am finaly looking for workflow for music video , commercial .
My main idea is to use DavinCi as final Render for any of my projects .
Will share with you my workflow, and want to get your comments , will it work or not .
Shooting R3D .
Offline file from RocketCine for Edit .
Editing video - Final Cut
EDL to Resolve
Final Render from DaVinci - SD, HD , DPX QT , vimeo verison and etc .
Problems that i have with this workflow :
1) Multy video tracks problem .
If i have V1 and V2 EDL will not carry V1 and V2 information . Only V1 , then i need to get second EDL with V2 . Did not found any solution for it .
2) Filters , Zooms , Crops and etc - also problem , because i am loosing this information .
3. Composing .
If i need to remove boom in 1 shoot , i need to use Automatic Duck , send take with right in and out for exsample to After Effects , then render out DPX files in LOG from After Effect , and put it back to Final Cut .
4. Matching RedLog DPX files and R3D correction .
You will say , why i want to use Resolve as final Render ?
Let me explain .
I am not happy with final cut render . For example . I have final HD ProRes 444 version of commercial , but client need SD TGA files for local TV broadcast company . I am getting my HD ProRes puting in in SD TimeLine and making Render . Quality of TGA files are bad , gamma is wrong , contrast is wrong . When i render our TGA SD files from Resolve everything is same as it was.
