Anyone here a camera operator with their own camera in Washington, D.C.?
I am heading down there on Sunday (three days from now) for a monday morning shoot. I am planning on bringing my camera and gear, but have heard horror stories about getting turned away at the border. If you live in the D.C. area and are available Monday EARLY morning for a shoot, just let me know.
The honest truth is that the job would only be there IF I can't my gear into the USA on Sunday. BUT, if this happens, I would be looking for someone with a good camera (minimum HVX200, preferably HDX900) and a small lighting kit. The job is a half-hour interview. Very simple. Short day. I would be paying your normal full day rate as well, and you'd be done by 10am.
Post if you are available to back me up. Thanks so much.
