Ignoring current speed issues in regards to compact flash cards greater than 8GB - with the present firmware build is there an upper limit for cf disk sizes?

With the HVX200 the cameras had to be patched to handle 16GB+ cards. Is it the same situation with Red? What if 16GB, or 32GB cards come out and we have to drop back in firmware to a previous build of firmware where those sized cards aren't supported? Dig out the 8's?

Just those imposed by FAT 32 file system, so in practice - no.

I have a 4Gb SanDisk IV which I was hoping to use in 2k but...

The camera will format it but after formating it says no card is present.
I think the current firmware is only written to see 8Gb Cards like the HVX was with P2.
