Without HDRx this was unwatchable:-)

Even with HDRx he would of blown everything out.. he wanted the contrast silhouette and nothing was going to change his mind.. I had a long conversation with him about it :)

it turned out to be the most downloaded video ever for Esquire... 2.2 million views on Vimeo alone. Go figure.

lol, I can see why it would be. Wow, she is pretty.

I dug the look. Was it just available light?

Haha... yeah, me too.

OK, actually, I loved the blown out windows. It made perfect sense, although I stopped noticing the windows after about 3 seconds for some reason. :001_smile:

What windows? Oh, those...

Of course, I'm still too much of a nit-picking camera guy... So, naturally, after my 5th or 6th time watching it, I started to wonder if the camera was bumped between wardrobe changes or if they attempted to match it back up after getting some of the close-ups. Kudos on the matching job if it was the latter. Anyway, the whole thing is a bit hypnotic. My wife watched it too, but she didn't seem all that impressed with it. I think she's just jealous of those green stockings that Daisy rocks in a few shots.

Over 100 million people watched a panda bear sneeze on YouTube. I'm still trying to figure that one out...

Nice.

For practical photography, there is noe "perfect" exposure, thanks whoever one want to thank.
Just "Right" or "worng" for the shot and context at hand.
Things can clip and be underexposed and that's just fine.

Photography is NOT cameratesting in any way.

I - for one - will not turn HDRx up to 11 on every shot "just to be sure".

Nice video!
Thanks for sharing Jarred!

Love it!

I was a bit confused for a sec because this was posted this yesterday, but I saw the video last summer on Greg's vimeo page.
Done with the Red One MX, right? I can't see what Greg will do with the Epic, I loved the short he did with Carla that had a little bit of
prototype Epic footage in it ..... Jared, maybe we'll be seeing an Epic-M thread soon from Greg??? ;) I hope so .... he's badass.

Thanks,

Anthony

Yeah, this is from June 2010. Just Jarred re-organizing the forums. Gave me an excuse to watch it again.

Yeah I felt the need to watch the entire thing again to make sure this wasn't a version they made from scratch. Turns out, nope. Ran through it a couple of times to make sure and I am positive...
