Drawing is conceptual but functional, and physical dimensions should be achievable.

SONY SRW-1 and Panavision SSR-1 replacement? :-)

"targets HDV camcorder users ... a sister device that supports single-link and dual-link HD-SDI recording." NICE

Hi David, nice little idea.

I think it also needs a Firewire 800 I/O. The analog audio is probably not necessary. But perhaps XLR inputs may be useful?

FireWire 800 like eSATA (as suggested by others) would add significant costs, as now the main control board would need to support those bandwidths. The compressed 1920x1080 output will be sub-20MB/s, half the bandwidth of USB2.0. So USB2.0 covers our needs, and offers a wide range of connectivity. Analog components we want to keep to a minimum (again design costs) but XLR inputs would be very nice. What to get version 1.0 out, then version 2 and 3 can follow. Thanks for your feedback, we are taking notes.

David,

What could be a price for this device?

We just updated the site for that. Getting a lot of interest. sub-$2000. Which could mean $1999 or $1399 (examples only,) but less than $2k.
